Wildfox Resorts Partners with 2B Enterprising to Support Neath Port Talbot schools

Wildfox Resorts is delighted to announce a partnership with 2B Enterprising to support four primary schools in the SA13 Afan Valley area and an additional local Welsh medium school, over a three-year period.

Schools will receive a wealth of resources that will teach children about enterprise and other key life skills. Wildfox Resorts will provide the resources to local schools and will help to deliver lessons about entrepreneurship, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion.

2B Enterprising founded The Bumbles of Honeywood learning resources which help to teach young children about enterprise, entrepreneurship, and essential life skills by following the Bumble Family of bees from Honeywood as they tackle a range of challenges together. Enterprise education forms part of the new Welsh Curriculum for primary schools and these resources provide an off-the-shelf solution for teachers to cover this subject area.

Claire Pearce, Director of Sustainability and Economic Development at Wildfox Resorts comments: “We are delighted to work with the Bumbles of Honeywood team in the Afan Valley community to action our commitment to creating social value - working with young people to inspire future generations and celebrate new possibilities.”

Jayne Brewer, CEO of 2B Enterprising comments: “It’s great to see a company like Wildfox Resorts commit to supporting their local community in this way. By partnering with five schools, the team at Wildfox Resorts is not only providing The Bumbles of Honeywood resources, they will also get to build relationships with the schools and inspire young people who would be open to pursuing a career in tourism. It’s wonderful to see them offering their support for a three-year period as this will be of huge benefit to the schools and will also give them the opportunity to make a lasting impact in the run up to the opening of the Resort.

Primary schools can apply to receive The Bumbles of Honeywood resources and are able to access them by being partnered with a business who can also bring insights from their own organisation into the school to elevate the learning experience even further.
